Black Light Burpees, one of our signature pop-up events, has grown into a London favourite. 

Set in the (near) dark, with only black lights to illuminate the room, you can expect a spectactle for the eyes with UV face paint and glow sticks. To make things extra spectacular, we ask you to wear your brightest workout gear. Think neon and fluorescent colours - they look amazing under the black lights. 

But it's not all about the setting: we’re very excited to be teaming up with some of London's favourite teachers for these every so popular events. 

On 25 May we'll welcome Shona Vertue, who will be teaching The Vertue Method: a fusion of yoga, gymnastics, circuit training and meditation, designed to uplift both your soul and your butt. It begins with a signature warm up comprising of full body movements to mobilise joints as well as a sequence of serious glute activation exercises to prepare the correct muscles to fire. This is followed by a series of compound exercises in timed circuits; all carefully chosen to create a strong and lean body.

The session includes yoga sequences and ends with a soothing savasana meditation to further stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system, aiding in recovery.

On 29 June it's Nike NTC Trainer Tameka Small's turn to put you through your paces. She will incorporate aspects of her background in martial arts to deliver an intense, straight to the point effective HIIT session. The session will take you through a number of different drill sets, designed to get you moving in all directions, homing in on endurance and strength to get you working hard. A banging base line will be key in this workout, with music there to help motivate you as you work with your fellow teammates and individually to challenge yourself physically and mentally. Get ready to sweat and glow!

Don't run off straight after class though, as we'll have a lovely outdoor terrace (fingers crossed for good weather!) where you can relax a bit and catch up with friends before heading home. You'll be treated to a freshly made fruit or vegetable smoothie and some fruit skewers. When you're ready to leave, you'll also receive a nice goodie bag with treats from some of our favourite healthy food and drink brands.
